Tyler Perry is a Legal Director at Certum Group, where he sources and evaluates litigation finance and insurance opportunities from top-tier law firms and claimholders. He has a particular focus on the mass tort space.
Tyler previously practiced commercial litigation at Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP in New York, commercial plaintiff law at Reid Collins & Tsai LLP in Austin, and clerked for the Honorable Kenneth F. Ripple of the Seventh Circuit.
An honors graduate of Northwestern Pritzker School of Law and NYU, Tyler has been named a Global 100 Leader in Litigation Finance by Lawdragon in 2024 and 2025, and “One to Watch” by Best Lawyers (2023). His work on major plaintiff-side matters has been featured in the legal press and his writing has appeared in publications such as the Northwestern Law Review and IPWatchdog. He has a passion for studying Mandarin Chinese, having spent much of his childhood in China.
